EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE

Every Day Of My Life is a work-in-progress documentary feature that explores and celebrates the musical contributions of the late Chicago house icon, DJ Rashad, and dives into the worlds of his footwork contemporaries whose lives dramatically changed when he unexpectedly passed away at 34.

The next generation torchbearer of the great Chicago house tradition, Rashad carried a movement, as well as the hopes of many, on his back. And while his music and craft were celebrated globally, his achievements were somewhat overlooked at home in Chicago — a city where success often breeds resentment.

The DJ Rashad estate commissioned the first leg of production. As of Spring 2024, the film remains partially shot. The piece below is a proof of concept, as the producers continue to seek finishing funds.
